The purpose of Himawari is to be in motion with love for life.

The mission of Himawari is to help people and organizations open up to their creativity and express their true voices.

The goal of Himawari is to create spaces where people can meet and become conscious of their own resources and get tools and inspiration to lead themselves in authentic and creative ways relating to the society we are part of, and the future generations.

Kristin Birkeland has based her work upon 13 years of focusing, studying, experiencing and unfolding peoples potential in creative learning-processes and the collective genius that leads to innovation. This has been harvested mainly at the environment of the KaosPilot International in Århus, where she is educated and where she has worked 5 years as Team Leader and Coach. Her work is also based upon the work she did at Stig and Stein Idèlaboratorium in Oslo, as and Idea astronaut for organizations, fostering creativity and innovation for companies in Scandinavia. Finally it is important to mention that Kristin Birkeland has a deep connection to creativity and learning through her own work as an artist. Today Himawari provides services for organizations, teams, groups and individuals. We use theory and methods from system thinking, art-based approaches, action based learning, appreciative inquiry, creativity/innovation and coaching.

Himwarari has existed for 2 year. Customers have been Århus Municipality, Hydro, Grow O8, Teko, DGI, Ikea, Høyskolen i Oslo, Århus Kunst Akademi, Kaos Pilot International in Århus, KaosPilots in Netherland, Malmø and Stockholm, assignments have been focused around creativity, innovation, life affirming communication, evaluations, process leadership teaching, guidance and individual coaching.
